Octavo, [8], 293, [1] pages; VG-; Bound by Jon Robbins in modern period-style calf; spine tanned; small patch of damp staining to front board and scattered scratches to both boards; light rubbing at corners. Leaf A1 is blank. The original frontispiece portrait (plate) of Desiderius Erasmus is absent, but has been replaced with a modern reprint. With a table of contents at beginning of text. Two ownership inscriptions reading "Rich. Norton His Book" and "James Martin His Book" on the title page. Arithmetic in ink on the verso of the final page of text. Original frontispiece absent; replaced with modern reprint. Large open cuts to the fore edge margins of pp. 253 and 255 (text not impacted). Minor shelfwear and denting to edges of text block.
