This is the catalog for an exhibition of over 1,000 pieces of old Imari donated by Mr. and Mrs. Shibata, a businessman and collector of Japanese ceramics, to the Kyushu Ceramic Museum in Saga Prefecture, which was divided into eight exhibitions. It is the only catalog that collects such a large number of Ko-Imari pieces, classifies and covers their forms and history, and is the most detailed illustrated guide to Ko-Imari in Japan.
