All five volumes first editions first printings, first edition or first American edition with no further printing indicates first printing. All five volumes of black cloth over boards with gold lettering and design on the spine, blind stamped title on the lower portion of the front board. All five volumes in dust jackets, with clear covers. Volume 1 dust jacket has a chip out of the head of the spine also a chip along the top edge of the back of the dust jacket light soiling to the front. Volume 2 small scratch to the front of the dust jacket small chip out of the head of the spine near the groove, very small chip along the toll, a tear on the back upper left near the for edge light soiling to the back of the dust jacket. Volume 3 light scratches to the protective cover on the back. Volume 4 very neat clean dust jacket. Volume 5 light soiled lot on the front lower right near the for edge. All four edges of the five volumes are not cut, volume 5 as a remainder Mark on the top page edges. All texts are bright and clean, bindings are secure, a solid collectible set of books. Size: 7¾" - 9¾" Tall.

About the Author

Doris Lessing was born of British parents in Persia, in 1919, and moved with her family to Southern Rhodesia when she was five years old. She went to England in 1949 and has lived there ever since. She is the author of more than thirty books—novels, stories, reportage, poems, and plays. In 2007, she was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature.
