The SIGNAL Method is for anyone who keeps facing the same kinds of meetings, conflicts, decisions, or business challenges and wants a better way to learn from them. In five minutes, it helps you review what happened, test your assumptions, identify the lesson, and choose your next move. It is an effective system for turning experience into action. SIGNAL is built around six questions:
S — Situation: What happened?
I — Impact: What changed?
G — Guess: What did I assume?
N — New learning: What do I now understand?
A — Ambiguity: What remains unclear?
L — Later action: What will I do next?

Dr Jeremy Noad is a business improvement and leadership professional with more than 30 years’ experience. Over the last 15 years, he has worked with organisations in more than fifty countries, helping leaders, teams, and businesses strengthen decision-making, ways of working, and change across regions. He earned his doctorate from the University of Portsmouth, where his research focused on organisational performance.
