7th printing in crisp, but heavily dampstained bright orange cloth boards with white paper labels; internally clean and unmarked. Covered in a facsimile of the very scarce jacket with sunned spine, (though lettering is quite readable) and with a small chip at top of spine, affecting "Ruth". Photographic portrait of Ruth McKenney on rear panel, has some paper lift. A perfectly decent copy of this uncommon title, that was the basis for a smash play and movie. Rare in any kind of jacket.
