Navy blue hardcovers with gold lettering on spine which is bright. Text is clean and unmarked, including the fold-out slide rule illustration. Hinges are tight. Illustrated dj has small chips on bottom corner of the front cover, 1" tear to bottom rear of jacket. Light shelf wear and soiling to covers and edges. The is a small circular stain on the upper edge of the front cover where a price sticker might have been. "An introduction to the slide rule, with special reference to Navigation, both at sea and in the air, and problems encountered in cargo working and other ship and aircraft handling."
