THE SPACE BETWEEN

The Space Between is a contemporary poetry collection that explores the quiet distances that shape a life. Moving between the streets of Wolverhampton, the river at Ludlow, and the wide skies of the Welsh coast, Cora B B writes about the places that hold us, the people who form us, and the moments that linger in the mind long after they have passed.

These poems are grounded in everyday experience yet alive with feeling. Family stories, childhood memories, and generational echoes sit beside reflections on grief, ageing, fear, and hope. There are poems that remember mothers and grandparents, poems that watch a grandson on the beach, poems that look back at lock down and the strange stillness of that time. Nature is a constant presence - rivers, bridges, harbours, sand and sea - offering both backdrop and mirror to an inner journey.

Written in clear and accessible language, with touches of regional and Black Country voice, The Space Between will appeal to readers who enjoy poetry that tells a story and speaks directly to the heart. It is a book for anyone who has felt caught between places or life stages, who has watched a town change around them, or who turns to poetry for comfort, recognition, and quiet courage.

For readers of contemporary British poetry who value a strong sense of place, emotional honesty, and the beauty of ordinary lives, this collection offers a companion that feels both familiar and refreshingly individual.
