540 pgs. with index + 4 pgs. publisher's catalog. Unbelievable collection of a daily paper published in London from June 14th., 1711 - October 18th., 1711. Political commentary, court gossip, church matters, history, biographies. In short, quite a complete slice of early 18th. Century English, Scottish, Welsh, and Irish Life. Eggplant purple HC book has faded gilt font on spine, and also has blind stamped decarations on spine and fc. Good + Shape, with sun faded spine, bumped and barely rubbed through spine ends and corners, minor chippping to top spine end, some shelf wear and fading to boards. PO name on ffep, title page, and first page of the text. Page edges discolored, no foxing of any kind inside or out. Book is straight, tight, square, unmarked, and without any foul odors. No DJ as issued. What a wealth of information for the researcher, historian, museum curator, teacher, professor, or armchair European History Buff! Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
