SSB SIMPLIFIED (Paperback)

Navigating the SSB interview process is a daunting task and candidates invest significant time and resources in training institutes, only to discover that success isn’t just about mastering technique—it’s about understanding and improving oneself. In this insightful guide, Air Commodore Nitin Sathe, former President of the Services Selection Board (SSB), takes you through the five-day interview process with clarity and precision. Drawing from his extensive experience, the author emphasises that the key to success lies within and requires a shift in thinking and attitude. Instead of focusing solely on external preparation, he advocates a deeper journey of personal growth—acquiring knowledge, opening up the true power of the mind, building up physical and mental courage, social skills, and confidence. By applying the strategies in this book, you will develop greater self-awareness and build lasting self-esteem. In short, this book emphasises that cultivating the virtues of a good human being and model citizen is, in itself, the key to becoming the kind of person who is ready for the armed forces. With Air Commodore Sathe’s esteemed background, this book is an indispensable resource for anyone aspiring to excel in the SSB and beyond.

Air Commodore Nitin Sathe (Retd) spent 36 years in the IAF and has also served both as Director Training, NDA, and as President of SSB. Apart from his love of flying, he is a prolific writer with columns appearing in leading media and journals.
