The first miniseries follows Captain Kirk and the EnterpriseTM crew on their mission to Modala, a peaceful world thrown into turmoil when the government uses alien technology to subjugate the population. The second miniseries picks the story up a hundred years later, when Captain Picard and his Enterprise crew return to the planet with Spock and McCoy aboard for the centennial celebration of the earlier adventure.
