STEWARDSHIP: The Management of God's Resources for Financial Peace

Faithful Servant: The Life and Ministry of Rev. Otis B. Hicks Jr. is a heartfelt and inspiring account of a man wholly committed to the call of God. Born and raised in the heart of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Rev. Hicks's journey reflects unwavering devotion, resilience, and service to both God and community as the eldest of five children raised by Otis Benjamin Hicks Sr. and Grace Virginia (Miller) Hicks, his spiritual roots were nurtured early at Corinthian Baptist Church, where he embraced Christ as his Savior under the ministry of Dr. M.W. Newsome.

From his ordination in 1978 to decades of tireless ministry, Rev. Hicks's life has been a testament to faithful obedience. The book traces his path through personal milestones and ministerial achievements- from his early days at Germantown High School and academic pursuit of theology at Geneva College and Bethel Seminary, to his powerful Gospel preaching that began in 1973.

At the heart of his ministry lies I am Third Ministries, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing the message of hope and salvation to nursing home residents across Pennsylvania and Delaware. Through this work, Rev. Hicks exemplifies servant leadership and compassion for the often-forgotten. His impact extends further as a board member of Have Name, a ministry founded by fellow believer Glen Ahrens.

Through awards such as the "Christian Stronghold Church Mighty Men Award" and "Volunteer of the Year" from Saunders House Senior Care, Rev. Hicks has been publicly recognized-but his focus remains on private obedience and quiet strength.

Supported by his wife of over forty years, Diane Colter, and blessed with a son, Benjamin, and grandson, Ryder, Rev. Hicks's story is also a family legacy of faith passed through generations.

This book is more than a biography; it is a portrait of spiritual dedication. It is for readers seeking encouragement, for believers longing to serve, and for anyone moved by the quiet power of a life lived for God. Faithful Servant reminds us that greatness in God's kingdom is found in humility, obedience, and enduring faith.
