Attractive brown cloth with black and gilt lettering & largely white candle to fr., black & gilt lettering to sp., clean, bright and undamaged but thin 7 cm white line by centre joint to front. f/piece + 105 + 6 (pub. list), 40 text figs, light green dec. end-papers; fr. pastedown has 7line 1910-dated hand-written Sunday School prize inscription, dated pencil sig. of Derek Gibson verso fr. end-paper (he being an eminent pioneering British cardiologist), small ink smudge to half-title, tanning to inner sides of end-papers, half title p.6 of pub.list, otherwise clean, tight and unmarked. The lectures were given over Christmas at the 'London Institution' to a 'Juvenile Auditory', most listed copies give covers as blue, so this presumably a re-issue of some kind.
