Reviews
Forget the "student" in the title, because if you possess an extra couple of grand and are bent on the proverbial adventure of a lifetime, you can profit from Tannen and Winkler's compendium. The authors, both study-abroad veterans, have captured exactly the kind of information their audience needs and wants to know. The book starts with the "Top 25," the baker's two dozen of programs deemed most worthy of attendance; in narrative form, these profiles provide immense detail, showing extensive first-hand research and interviews with actual program participants. Part two handles the second set of 25 programs more traditionally, including about a page of description and the most critical data to know. An invaluable reference. Barbara Jacobs
