L'okra (Abelmoschus esculentus), una coltura vegetale economicamente importante in India, � gravemente colpita dalla piralide dei germogli e dei frutti (Earias vittella Fab.), un importante lepidottero. Il parassita infesta i germogli teneri e i frutti in via di sviluppo, causando notevoli perdite di resa. Negli ultimi anni, l'attenzione si � spostata verso una gestione sostenibile dei parassiti attraverso l'integrazione di biopesticidi accanto agli insetticidi di sintesi per ridurre i rischi ambientali e i residui di pesticidi. Questo studio � stato condotto in condizioni di campo a Prayagraj per confrontare l'efficacia di biopesticidi selezionati e insetticidi chimici nella gestione di Earias vittella su gombo. Sono stati replicati otto trattamenti in un disegno a blocchi randomizzati contro Earias vittella, vale a dire, T1 Olio di karanj 2% EC @ 2ml/lit, T2 Estratto di bulbo d'aglio 3%@ 30ml/lit, T3 Flubendiamide 90 SC + Deltametrina 60 SC @ 5ml/lit, T4 Imidacloprid 17,8% SL @ 2,0ml/lit, T5 Spinosad 45%SC @ 0.5ml/lit, T6 Verticillium lecani (1x108 CFU/g) @ 300 kg/ha e T7 Metarhizium anisopliae4% WSP (1 � 108 CFU/g) @ 2,5kg/ha e T8 rispetto alla parcella di controllo le loro influenze sulla resa del gombo. Ogni insetticida � stato spruzzato due volte a 14 giorni di intervallo.
