Brodeur, Paul. THE STUNT MAN. New York: Atheneum, 1970. First Edition. A FINE copy in a NEAR FINE dustjacket with some even fading of the panels as usual. PRESENTATION COPY with a splendid full-page inscription thanking a friend for his help with "The Magic Mineral," the highly important muck-raking article written by New Yorker columnist Brodeur which first exposed the asbestos hazard. The 1980 acclaimed cult film, starring Peter O’Toole as the mad movie director who believes he is God, was made during the Vietnam War with an anti-war theme. This halted, then limited, THE STUNT MAN’s distribution, causing Peter O’Toole to quip "this film wasn’t released, it escaped.". Bookseller Inventory # 001625
