Synopsis
A children's fairytale told around what transpires when Santa's number one Christmas fairy, Sugar Plum, finds she has turned into a blue blob after greedily indulging in a feast of blueberries and is unable to perform her annual cleaning of the soot from chimneys for Santa's clean entry. Fortunately, her normally retiring cousin, Cinnamon Swirl, is persuaded to step into the breach at the last minute and save the day for all concerned.
About the Authors
A Queenslander who once accompanied her husband on a working holiday to London, which eventually extended to a much longer period than such adventures usually do, extending out and out until it managed to consume most of their middle years. During their time in that city, by way of her nature and personality, Louise had her share of indulging in various theatrical activities whilst the nature of her husband's eventual long-term employment provided her with abundant contacts in the world of theatre. In time, they returned to their roots in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, settling in what the locals refer to as paradise, here on the Blackall Range in the Sunshine Coast's Hinterland. Here, she shares her abundant enthusiasm with her immediate community groups, small local theatre groups and choirs ... and writing groups. It is from here that she has ventured to produce this current work of children's fiction, initially undertaken as a Christmas gift to her own nieces and nephews.
A Queenslander and retired architect, who spent some number of early years, workings an architect in London on the production of the Barbican Arts Centre. From there he returned to his own roots in Brisbane, continuing to work as an architect whilst also pursuing the discipline of fine printmaking, acquired in London. In later years, he quit Brisbane to take up life in paradise on the Blackall Range in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, continuing to practice architecture and the writing of poetry, taken up in the times around and beyond London; additionally, painting, drawing, playing piano in a very casual fashion, and singing in a pair of local community choirs; and more latterly, writing prose in addition to the poetry, and publishing for himself and others. Currently, he lives in Montville on the Blackall Range.
