Appassionato archeologo e numismatico, prese parte al dibattito necolassico sul restauro delle antichit�; la sua collezione di monete e reperti impression� l'imperatore Francesco d'Asburgo Lorena al punto da favorire la fondazione del Museo Archeologico di Spalato, di cui fu Direttore. Quest'opera giovanile, classificazione metodica rimedi (farmaci, cibi, bagni ecc) ispirata al rigore sistematico della nosologia di Boissier de Sauvages, valse all'autore la proposta, declinata, di una cattedra a Padova o Pavia. Bell'esemplare, genuino e in barbe (qulache carta di introduzione e ultimo foglio ancora intonsi).
