SUMMER EXPERIENCES OF ROME, PERUGIA, AND SIENA IN 1854; AND SKETCHES OF THE ISLANDS OF THE BAY OF NAPLES.

First Edition. Hardback. 8vo. pp vii, 311. Frontis and 11 plates. 1 page publishers advertisements. The 12 tissue-guarded plates, lithographed by the author from her own sketches. Original publisher's blocked orange cloth, gilt lettering to spine. Corners and spine ends a little bumped and rubbed; a little slight soiling to covers, spine a little dulled; some tissue guards a little foxed, with a little minor foxing to some plates. Bizarrely, a small, decorative old Polio Research sticker (1960s?) showing a seal with a parasol has been neatly placed at the top of ffep. For all that, VG and a pleasing copy. Reprinted in modern times but orinal copies are scarce.
