Sabbath Readings for the Home Circle

"Sabbath Readings for the Home Circle" was originally published in 1905 as "Choice Readings For The Home Circle". This reprint is a collection of stories and poems by M.A. Vroman and is considered one of the cornerstones of inspirational literature so popular among turn-of-the-century readers. This collection of nearly 60 inspirational stories and over 30 beautiful Christian poems is perfect for family devotion time. This treasure of faith was gathered from church papers in 1877 from Methodist, Lutheran, Presbyterian, and other denominations. "Sabbath Readings for the Home Circle" contains "best lessons" in order to instill values in the young such as obedience to one's parents; kindness and affection toward brothers, sisters and friends; compassion for the poor; and the necessity for daily observance of the Gospel. These virtuous stories contain indispensable principles for those interested in moral and religious parables of early 20th-century literature. "Sabbath Readings for the Home Circle" was designed not only to entertain but to build character; to lead old and young to choose the good way of life; to help them be kind, honest, truthful, and obedient, and above all to love God with all their hearts.
