William G. Harley is an associate profess of history at the Joseph Fielding Smith Institute for Latter-day Saint History at BYU and past president of the Mormon History Association. He has written many articles and books and is helping to edit the Joseph Smith papers for publication.

A Gary Anderson was an associate professor of Church history and doctrine at BYU and served as the director of the LDS Institute of Religion at Dixie College. He passed away in 1995.
