Sacrifice of the Innocents

No one escapes Dante’s villa. Not alive.

From Kenneth R. Overman, award-winning author of A Lion in Spring, comes another gripping standalone thriller of espionage, vengeance, and survival, in which a college professor is the only thing standing between a brutal trafficker and mass murder.

While leading a student trip through Spain, Professor Nathan Radcliff stumbles into a nightmare. A terrified Romanian girl begs for help, and Nathan, without knowing it, disrupts one of the largest human trafficking networks in Europe.

Mistaken for an undercover agent, he’s abducted and taken to the private compound of Dante - a sadistic mastermind whose empire stretches from the streets of Europe to a phosphate mine in the Western Sahara. No one leaves his villa alive.

Trapped and hunted, Nathan’s only shot at survival lies in a group of unlikely allies: a sharp-tongued UN bureau chief, an eccentric Spanish artist, a Catholic priest with a badge, and Zizi Petrakis - the MI6 agent who once broke his heart.

But Dante has a final plan: unleash a cloud of Sarin gas on hundreds of captives to cleanse the world of the “undesirables.” And the clock is already ticking.

Will Nathan survive long enough to stop it? Or will the innocents pay the price?

A pulse-pounding thriller for fans of Dan Brown, Daniel Silva, and Robert Ludlum, Sacrifice of the Innocents delivers nonstop action, unforgettable characters, and a chilling look into the darkest corners of global crime. Nathan Radcliff Thrillers: political thrillers for the world traveler.
