Phil Berardelli has been a writer and journalist for over 25 years, covering such topics as science, education and popular culture. He was a middle school teacher for seven years, and for five years he produced and co-hosted the weekly television program, "The Moviegoing Family," which appeared in the Washington, D.C. area and nationally on The Learning Channel. Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., he has lived in Northern Virginia since 1970.
