About the Author
Ali Hessami is a systems engineer specializing in risk analysis, assessment and safety. He is a leading figure in AI ethics standardization efforts as Vice Chair of the IEEE AI Ethics Certification Programme, Chair of the IEEE 7000 AI Ethics Standard and Subgroup Chair at the IEC Cybersecurity Standard Committee. He is also Innovation Director at Vega Systems Ltd where he works on building advanced conformity assurance systems. He is a Chartered Engineer and Chair of the IEEE UK & Ireland Section. He lives in London, UK.
