About the Author

Ralph B. Stuart, III, CIH, is in the Risk Management Department at the University of Vermont. In 1989, he started the SAFETY e-mail list, which has developed into the largest e-mail list for safety professionals on the Internet. He also helped organize the Vermont SIRI web site which contains the largest collection of safety data available on the Internet.

Christopher Moore, MLS, has been teaching people to use health and safety information systems since joining the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) in 1986. He has primary responsibility for the content of CCOHSs web site, including its popular directory of health and safety resources. He is also the "list owner" for HS-Canada, an e-mail list for health and safety discussions.
