A very rare and interesting piece of nautical history that was used by Captain Fessenden Chase who sailed from midcoast Maine and lived in Edgecomb, Maine. Both corners bumped. Spine ends chipped. Both covers somewhat soiled. Text clean and binding sound. The book is in good condition considering that it was used on a 19th century sailing ship. Photos available on request. We also have several other nautical books used by Capt. Chase on his ship.
