Longer cruises to the Western Isles, Iberian Peninsula and escaping to summer in New Zealand with detuned America's Cup boats help to define 'sailing is about nature, boats and people'. This is all seen from the perspective of an isolated village in 100 years of transition from trading schooners to the white van man and the consequences of the new leisure economy.
