An excellent limited edition of the paintings of Segonzac depicting the countryside of France, complete with thirty-two plates and a numbered engraving. Andre Dunoyer de Segonzac was a French painter. A student of the Academie de La Palette, he first exhibited at the Salon des Independants. He was drafted for military service during the First World War, and worked in the camouflage sector, earning himself a Croix de Guerre; he also competed in the art competitions of the Summer Olympics of 1932 and 1948.With an introduction by Max-Pol Fouchet.A limited edition, with one thousand copies produced, this being No. 770.Illustrated with thirty-two plates by Segonzac, as well as one numbered engraving. Collated, complete. In the original paper covered portfolio with a dust wrapper; plates are loose as issued. Externally very smart, with just a little edgewear.
