The Saltman

Dark storms roll across the northeastern coast as the dying town of Grimsby Reach becomes haunted by strange human-shaped figures appearing along the shoreline after every low tide. The locals call them Saltmen. Pale, silent forms made of hardened sea salt that seem to contain something terrible hidden inside.

When David Bradshaw returns home following his father's mysterious death, he expects grief, old memories, and a town slowly collapsing into decay. Instead he finds terrified fishermen boarding their windows at night, whispers of people vanishing during storms, and ancient secrets buried beneath the cliffs overlooking the black sea.

As the disappearances grow and the tides begin swallowing parts of the town itself, David uncovers a horrifying truth hidden beneath generations of silence. Far below Grimsby Reach, beneath flooded caves older than the town itself, something ancient has begun to awaken.

Something that was never meant to reach the surface.

THE SALTMAN is a bleak and atmospheric coastal horror novel filled with drowned folklore, ancient sea terror, collapsing cliffs, and the slow nightmare of the ocean turning against mankind. Perfect for readers who enjoy cosmic horror, maritime dread, folk horror, and dark British supernatural fiction.
