An ex-college library copy, well-bound in light maroon hard cover, author and title stamped in gold on spine; original light blue Knight's covers included and intact; previous owner's initials and date on first flyleaf; pages somewhat faded but strong; a few penciled notes and references on the last orginal flyleaf. Several illustrations. After a lengthy introduction, Ramsay provides "copious extracts" from Butler's "Hudibras" with a running interpretive commentary that paraphrases omitted passages. He includes perhaps half of the text of "Hudibras," followed by a section of "Miscellaneous Poems.".
