An original etching 'The Weary Ploughman' originally known as 'The Herdsman' or 'Tardus Bubulcus' by Samuel Palmer. (Ref: Lister 8. VIII) on laid paper with the number 4 in the lower plate border as issued in 'A Selection of Etchings by the Etching Club' 1865. 192mm x 263mm (plate), 132mm x 202mm (etched image). Small unobtrusive fox mark in margin of support sheet. Mounted in conservation board. An exceptionally fine impression in excellent condition. Seller Inventory # 1975AP
