3 vols., 8vo., Second Edition, with 3 portrait frontispieces, plates, and front and rear endpaper maps in first and second volumes; blue cloth, gilt backs, a very good, bright, clean set in unclipped dustwrapper, the wrappers lightly browned at backstrips. One of the outstanding biographies of the twentieth century, the trilogy was first published by Cambridge (1933-38) in plain typographical dustwrappers. When Collins secured the right to reprint, maps were produced for the second volume and the production enhanced with striking coloured dustwappers. COMPLETE SETS ARE SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION.
