The Samurai: The Departure Point Series

A history professor avoids infection from a manmade virus designed to cure humanity’s chronic illnesses. Instead, catastrophic errors in the gene-therapy injections leave the world sterile, and civilization collapses into riots and ruin.

As new governments rise from the ashes, the few remaining fertile people are sent to guarded sanctuaries in a desperate attempt to preserve the human race.

A scientific breakthrough offers one last chance—volunteers to change the course of history. But survival demands more than knowledge of the past. Can a history professor live and fight as a samurai while teaching a new generation to lead their nation toward a future worth saving?
