The Sarai Legacy (Paperback or Softback)

We call ourselves followers of Christ, yet our actions often betray us. We speak of grace and mercy but walk as though fear were our master. Faith is the substance of things not seen, yet too often we live as though sight were the only measure of truth. This contradiction is not hidden; it is exposed in the way we confess one thing and practice another.
This book is not written to condemn, but to awaken. It is written to reveal the mercy that abides even when faith falters. For the greatest scandal is not unbelief itself, but the hypocrisy of claiming belief while refusing to walk in it. Such a posture makes us appear worse than liars, for we cloak fear in the language of faith.
The Sarai Legacy is the story of mercy that outlasts unbelief. Sarai looked for promise through disbelieving action, reaching for a son by her own design. Yet God did not abandon His word. Isaac was born, because God is faithful. Her legacy is the testimony that divine mercy endures human weakness.
Sarai laughed when she heard that she would bear a son in her advanced age. Her laughter reflected her disbelief. Yet Isaac was born. Do we not laugh in the same way when God speaks His word over our lives? We hear His promise, yet we measure it against our weakness, our circumstance, our fear and we dismiss it as beyond reach.
I know this laughter. As an accounting student, the thought of writing books was beyond my imagination. Yet it came to pass. I traded precious metals and knew the market well, but if someone had told me I would succeed in that field, I would not have believed it—even myself. But God can turn anything around. His ways are higher, His purposes unshakable. Never underestimate what He can breathe into your life.
Do you know why Sarai’s name was changed to Sarah? The added “H” is not a letter of chance—it is the breath of God. It was this breath that formed the earth, this breath that gave life to man. When God breathes into our lives, the dead places awaken. What was barren becomes fruitful. What was impossible becomes testimony.
As I wrote this book, I often found myself laughing. Not at Sarai's laughter, but at my own. Chapter after chapter seemed to end sooner than I expected. A few hundred words here, a few hundred words there. I wondered whether they were too short, too simple, or too incomplete. Yet each chapter carried a lesson learned through years of walking with God. What appeared small on the page often carried the weight of a much longer journey.
Perhaps there is a lesson even in that. God's grace is often like a mustard seed. Small in appearance yet carrying life within it. A brief encounter, a simple prayer, a quiet whisper in the early hours, a conversation above the clouds, a delayed promise, a restored year. The moments themselves may seem small, but God often hides eternity within them.
Sarai laughed because the promise seemed too great. I laughed because the chapters seemed too small. Yet God has a way of working through things we underestimate. A mustard seed becomes a tree. Five loaves feed a multitude. A short chapter may carry a lifetime of experience.
This is the legacy: not merely Sarai’s laughter, nor her faltering steps, but the mercy of God that breathes life where none was expected. The Sarai Legacy is the witness that His promise endures, His breath sustains, and His mercy transforms disbelief into living faith.
