A tight, very good example, hint of rubbing to the spine but all gilt clear and bright. There is an old bookseller's stamp on the front free endpaper advertising the price and also that the book would be exchangable at half-price at the store. No dust jacket. While first U.K. editions of this title are not uncommon, examples in first binding state are quite scarce.
