About the Author

Ruthie Marks has been hopelessly in love with crochet since learning how after retirement. Her innovative designs have appeared in numerous books and magazines, as well as on the websites and promotional materials of major yarn manufacturers. Favorite projects are scarves, cowls, shawls, ponchos and other wraps, simple garments, afghans, and other household items. My style is to aim for a new, fresh approach to old ways of doing things, she says. Ruthie and her husband, Roger, live off the grid in a solar-powered home designed and built by Roger in Ojai, California.
