Synopsis
Mack MacAlister is lured into the tangled rainforest jungle of Guatemala to a Maya sanctuary that has been veiled by mystifying forces for over 10,000 years. Events take him from innocence to discovering that he is integral to an ancient prophecy and has vowed in a previous lifetime to save a mysterious, life-size crystal skull. Mack is guided by Ichtaca, an old shaman who helps him in his quest to regain his powers; the intuitive magickal side of himself. And, then defying all rationality and in the midst of turmoil Mack finds his soul mate, Tlalli, and painfully realizes they have shared numerous lifetimes of unfulfilled passion. In a world where past, present and future are only separated by thin membranes, it becomes a race of wills to protect the skull from the mad Mexican magistrate, Rafael Sánchez, and ensure the portal between worlds opens at the end of the Maya Calendar on December 21, 2012. Failure could mean the destruction of the human race and Earth as we know it today.
About the Author
Phyllis Cronbaugh brings intuition and years of indigenous spiritual training to her books, workshops and ceremonies. Indigenous knowledge is as valuable today as it has been for millennia in guiding us to live balanced and harmonious lives. Making a full circle back to Kansas City, she is now the caretaker for her 93-year-old mother, enjoys her grandchildren, writes, teaches, and conducts native ceremonies for her Dancing On The Edge Lodge.
