Ivan Nikolov is a senior software engineer based in London. His career started in the ad tech industry, where he followed his interest in technologies helping to deal with big amounts of data. He works with cutting edge BigData technologies on a daily basis. Some of the more interesting projects Ivan has worked on include a large scale real-time predictive analytics engine and batch processing solutions. He has used the Scala programming language in all of them in combination with technologies and libraries like Spark, Hadoop, Scalding, Cassandra, Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc. as well as other JVM languages like Java.
Ivan's approach to software engineering is very personal and he takes pride in the projects he works on. He is extremely strict and keen on writing efficient and beautiful code.
