Item description from seller

Burrows was a Cashier based at Scapa Flow Naval Station from 1915 to 1920 and was uniquely placed to record the ships and life of this massive Naval Base in WW1, also the surround areas in Orkney. The photos include a substantial section on interned German Fleet and its scuttling. 144pp, heavily illustrated. VG clean copy in dust wrapper. This is the high quality limited edition reprint produced locally by the Orcadian in 2007 (copy 134/550) and, unusually for a reprint, it is actually rather better than the original with better paper and a much stronger binding.
