If You're Scared, Then Do It Scared!

What do you say when your child is too afraid to try?

She wanted to raise her hand. She wanted to speak up. She wanted to be brave. But fear held her still.

If You’re Scared, Then Do It Scared is the story every child needs to hear: being brave doesn’t mean not being scared. It means doing it anyway.

Written for children in K–6 grades, this beautifully illustrated picture book gently teaches kids that fear is normal, courage is a choice, and they are braver than they think. Built on social-emotional learning (SEL) principles and aligned with CASEL competencies, it gives parents, teachers, and counselors a powerful tool for helping children face big emotions with confidence.

Perfect for:
• Read-alouds in elementary classrooms and morning meetings
• School counselor offices and SEL curriculum libraries
• Parents helping anxious children build confidence
• Pediatric and therapy waiting rooms
