Scattered Acres

Julia Prescott was born to own a bookstore. She grew up dreaming between the pages of novels and playing between the shelves that line her grandmother’s store. When her grandmother unexpectedly sells the store out from underneath her, Julia is left to struggle under her store’s new faceless owner. She longs to hold onto the community she built there, but will that be enough when she’s just a guest in the only place she’s ever called home?

Elliot Dubois hates small towns. He hates nosy people, chatty people, and perky people. Bluefield is full of all three. A joint business investment with his brother has forced him to live there, and he can’t wait for the dust to settle so he can move on. But a bright-eyed woman makes a bold first impression on him, and he can’t stay away. His unique skills allow him to help her when she finds herself under cyber attack, but why does that involve romantic outings he planned especially for her?

Julia and Elliot could not be more different, but they forge a connection they can’t deny. Bluefield is a town full of more secrets than anyone was aware of. Will they come out unscathed?

Scattered Acres is a grumpy x sunshine, small-town romantic suspense novel set in the fictional town of Bluefield, Canada.

This story can be read as a standalone, but reads best after Inky Water and Staged River, the first two books in the Bluefield Beach series.
