With the previous owners inscription from Free Grammar School, Exeter, dated 1839. In a full calf binding with gilt detail. Externally generally smart with rubbing to extremities and marks to spine. Hinges slightly strained but firm. Contemporary ink inscription on front blank. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with just the odd spot. Heavier spotting on the plates. Good.
