Best known as a surveyor, he also taught arithmetic and wrote this guide to simplify his classes. GOOD condition, ex-library. Exterior call label, interior pastedowns and markings present. Several areas of ink staining to the covers, with minor soiling and fading. Leather worn along the spine, with the other extremities rather bumped, scuffed and frayed. General browning and scattered foxing in the interior.
