First done in 1785, this is the undated "A New Ediiton with Very Considerable Additions" circa ~[1790]; a reissue of the second edition. Bound in contemporary leather boards, rebacked with a more modern leather spine with black spine label. Piece out of inner portion of page 319 effecting some of the text. Soiling to the first and last few pages. Mild foxing. Imison was a clockmaker, optician, and printer. The present work was written as an introduction to the mechanical sciences.
