From the Back Cover

Turning children on to science involves innovation, inspiration, and enthusiasm. Planning activities that excite them into scientific inquiry is even more challenging. This book invites readers to consider the most efficient and safe way to explore activity-based science lessons. This activities book provides a wealth of lessons and activities that follow the learning cycle. The two introductory chapters provide information on the learning cycle, specifically the four "E"s -- exploration, explanation, expansion, and evaluation -- and on science safety. The book includes over sixty complete science lessons which provide more than 150 different activities to encourage hands-on/minds-on activity and high levels of concept formation. Science educators, parents, administrators, and parents committed to excellence in science education.
