Item description from seller

First issue (December, 1956) of 12 digest issues published 1956-1958, edited by Larry T. Shaw. This first issue followed five issues of SUSPECT DETECTIVE STORIES: when that folded, it was retitled SCIENCE FICTION ADVENTURES and simply continued the numbering as vol 1 no 6 (however the next issue reverted back to vol 1 no 2). See Ashley/Tymn: Science Fiction, Fantasy, And Weird Fiction Magazines pp. 524/526.
