Science In India: A Historical Perspective

Bidare Venkatasubbaiah Subbarayappa (B. V. Subbarayappa) (1925–2019) was one of India's foremost historians of science and philosophers of science. Originally trained as a chemist, he became internationally recognized for his pioneering research on the history of Indian science, technology, and medicine, and for promoting the history of science as an academic discipline in India.
