Second printing of the completely revised and enlarged edition, first published in this substantially rewritten form by McBride in 1938. Snugly bound in publisher's blue cloth lettered and ruled in gilt to spine. Contents bright and clean; no marks. Mild shelf tapping to front corners of the upper board. Mild offset toning in the endpage gutters, commonly found in American trade bindings of the period. A foundational work of American New Thought and Religious Science, presenting Holmes's synthesis of New Testament Christianity, metaphysical idealism and affirmative mental practice. Uncommon in the early printings published by Robert M. McBride. VG+.
