Else a very good and complete copy. OCLC only records one copy.Bailes was from New Zealand and originally wanted to be a medical missionary but his diabetes prevented him from pursuing that course. At the time Mary Baker Eddy was still in ascendancy and her self [faith] healing ideas had germinated far and wide. He soon discovered the power of positive thinking and this he claimed cured him of his diabetes. This led to a long life as a mystical or spiritual healer. He worked closely with the Science of Mind founder Ernest Holmes and led a large Science of Mind church in the San Fernando Valley. He also had a twice-weekly radio program about Science of Mind ideas that was broadcast over the Mutual Broadcasting System (KECA,) in Los Angeles, as well as other stations. Holmes Science of Mind remains very active until this day although the name has changed to the Centers for Spiritual Living. They are headquartered in Golden, CO, and have numerous other locations (including a prominent one in Palm Springs).
