ABOUT THE Mr R V Raghavan joined the then Vijaya Bank [now Bank of Baroda] in the year 1982 as Probationary officer, after a distinguished academic career. He obtained Govt of India Merit scholarship for having achieved distinction in School Leaving Certificate exam. He then obtained a degree in science from the Bangalore University. Having attained superannuation in 2019, he started reading books like Srimad Ramayana, Mahabharata, SrimadBhagavatam and Sri Vishnu Purana. Having read the sacred books,he was convinced that our ancient sages had written the Puranas based on facts. Sri Ramanuja’s teachings as well as the important chapter of Mahabharata “MokshadharmaParva “[prescribed conduct to attain liberation] is included. The importance of kine is also added. It is hoped that by reading this book, Bhakti or devotion to God will be developed which will lead to salvation, the ultimate object of attainment in this world. This book is dedicated to my parents Sri KVRajagoplalIyengar and Smt R Rukmani ,who passed away a few years back.
