About the Author

Alexandra Hofmanner is assistant professor in Science & Technology Studies (STS) at the University of Basel, Switzerland. She received a PhD at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) and has carried out extensive research in Switzerland and South Africa.
